Cai Qingxiang, professor,Ph.D, doctoral supervisor, was born in March 1958. He is an expert who enjoys the special government allowance granted by the State Council, chief expert of National 863 Project,leader expert of National Science and Technology Support Project ofTwelfth Five Plan,the Vice Director of Open Pit Mining Committee of China national Coal Association .
Cai Qingxiang graduated from CUMT in 1981 and majored in open pit mining. Then he stayed to teach in CUMT and served successively as a leader of Mining Engineering Department, Dean of School of Energy Science and Engineering. From September2011 to August 2014,he served as Vice President of Tarim University in Xinjiang.In September 2014, he was appointed as Deputy Party Secretary of CCP, Secretary of Committee for Discipline Inspection of CUMT.
The main research of Cai Qingxiang are open-pit mining technology and design theory,theshallowsloperock & soilengineering, mining engineering reliability, environmental engineering, mining area and coal mining area railway transportation etc. He has published 5 monographs, 5 textbooks and more than 50 papers on the core journals. From his research of national key level projects and funds, he has ever gained the second prize of National Technology Progress and the first prize of ministerial level scientific and technological progress and many other awards.
